The Company's proprietary hydrogel/glassy matrix composites have for the first time enabled the preparation of stabile formulations capable of "packaging" a gas for local delivery to target tissues for the purpose of eliciting a desired biological response. The addition of a glassy substance to traditional sol-gel nanoparticles imparts unique and desirable characteristics not previously described.

The particles are comprised of commonly utilized pharmaceutical excipients found on the GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) list and/or the USP-NF Formulary.
